Vibration analysis is one of the techniques to predict misalignment of coupling. It can judge the gradual change trend of equipment state. But when judging whether a device is in misalignment state, it is necessary to refer to a lot of data and examples in the past. It is also necessary to check and distinguish bearing, lubricant, coupling or fixed connection, so it has certain limitations. When the equipment is in poor condition, the infrared photography technology can distinguish the overheated parts such as bearings, motor housing, coupling, and determine the alignment error of coupling. Combined with other prediction technologies such as vibration analysis, the effect will be better.
Shafting vibration is aggravated because of the existence of star elastic coupling, so many professional and technical personnel began to study. In the literature, the torsional vibration of gear coupling is analyzed and studied, mainly using Fourier series method, taking clearance, damp and exciting force as parameters, the torsional vibration of gear coupling connecting shafting is analyzed nonlinearly; in addition, the bending vibration of half coupling system is analyzed nonlinearly under the action of dry friction by mountain and dye valley, etc. Gear misalignment and tooth surface friction are closely related to the vibration of gear coupling. In the case of high-speed rotation, special attention should be paid to the lubrication of tooth surface. A large number of tests have been carried out on the axial vibration of the connecting shafting of gear coupling, and the main cause of the axial vibration has been qualitatively explained. The main cause of the axial vibration is the friction force between the misalignment and the tooth surface. When there is no axial restoring force or thrust bearing, the larger axial movement will occur.
